What is Neopor® BMB?
Neopor® BMB is low-carbon, EPS rigid foam insulation offering the same traditional features with added sustainability benefits. The biomass balance approach combines renewable feedstock with traditional fossil feedstock during production allowing more fossil fuels to stay in-ground. This protects the environment and climate by reducing CO2 emissions while still delivering the proven product quality and properties.
Architects benefit from easier material specification for LEED/LBC projects. Building occupants benefit from a better quality of life in a healthier building. Building owners benefit from lower total cost of ownership. The environment benefits from a healthier planet, a win for everyone.
Sustainable Building Throughout the Life Cycle
The biomass balance approach:
- Independent certification by REDcert
- Use of waste based Bio-Naphta or biogas
- Reduced CO2 footprint
- CO2 savings as early as the production stage
- CO2 emission savings of 60% (cradle to gate, A1-A3) compared to standard Neopor
- Produced in accordance with the requirements of the White Paper published by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Economy 100 Network
