Heat lost through wall surfaces can add up to annual energy losses of 40%. Optimum thermal insulation from Neopor® GPS insulation is the practical way to stop such losses.

Exterior walls are the first and best places to save money through insulation. Neopor® GPS insulation efficiently insulate buildings from either inside or outside. Thermal insulation composite systems work well for exterior walls and core insulation for cavity masonry. When exterior insulation is impossible, impractical or undesirable - to save a façade, for example - interior Neopor® GPS insulation works quite well. For new construction, Neopor® GPS is appropriate for almost any type of wall.

Exterior Insulation Finish Systems (EIFS)

Exterior Insulation Finish System (EIFS) is an exterior cladding system featuring Neopor® GPS. The system uses a secondary air/water-resistive barrier and channels created by the trowel pattern of the adhesive to provide a cost-effective added level of protection of the sheathing and cavity against moisture and air intrusion.

It offers design flexibility, aesthetic appeal and energy savings. Integrated system components include reinforced air/water-resistive barrier, adhesive, Neopor GPS insulation board, reinforced base coat and 100% acrylic polymer finish. Finishes are available in a limitless color selection. Performance enhancement options include increased resistance to dirt pick-up and mildew, protection against high impact, and specialty finishes that create stone-like, metallic or mottled stucco appearances.

For exterior walls in new and retrofit commercial, institutional and residential construction when a continuous high effective R-value is needed to meet energy or eco-efficiency standards, and/or when a rainscreen is desired or required to satisfy code issues related to drainage, and where high wind-load requirements dictate the use of adhesive attachment.

Advantages

  • Highly energy efficient
  • Incorporates a monolithic secondary air/water-resistive barrier
  • Easy to specify a design that meets ASHRAE design standards and IGCC/IECC code requirements for the use of continuous insulation

Continuous Insulation Sheathing (CI)

Heat lost through wall surface thermal bridging can add up to annual energy losses of 40%. Optimum thermal insulation from Neopor® Continuous Insulation Sheathing (CI) is the practical way to help reduce such losses.

Neopor® CI has excellent structural-physical properties for thermal insulation of residential and commercial exterior walls. By using Neopor® CI, builders can meet the latest energy codes and home owners can benefit from energy savings as well as increased comfort of people inside.

Advantages

  • Efficient thermal insulation
  • Uncomplicated and economical
  • Excellent for façade renovations

Insulating Concrete Forms / ICF

Insulating concrete forms made of Neopor® are suitable for all types of building elements, particularly for those requiring thermal insulation and a simple design. They are used as wall and ceiling elements for single-family homes as well as high-rise buildings. They offer enormous potential savings for do-it-yourself builders.

Formwork elements made of Neopor® make it possible to build and insulate exterior walls at the same time. The elements are available in various wall thicknesses and designs - for example, lintel elements that are free of thermal bridges, floor surrounds, roller shutter housings, or cantilevers. Thanks to their good thermal-insulating properties, formwork elements made of Neopor® are well-suited for the construction of low-energy and passive houses.

Advantages

  • No thermal bridges
  • High degree of thermal insulation
  • Simple and fast handling

Structural Insulated Panel / SIP

Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a high performance building system for residential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB).

SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective. Building with SIPs will save you time, money and labor.

Advantages

  • Labor savings resulting from shorter construction time
  • Less jobsite waste
  • Energy savings due to smaller heating/ cooling systems required
