This course focuses on the wall bracing provisions of the 2021 International Residential Code (IRC), which, while not totally new, remain daunting to understand and efficiently apply. In this educational webinar, the IRC wall bracing requirements will be reviewed and explained, including many options for achieving compliance. A step-by-step process for applying the provisions will also be demonstrated using example house plans. In addition, the ability to use alternative means and methods for wall bracing will be discussed. Finally, various resources to assist in compliance checking and design optimization will be highlighted.
